Amelia Golden is a New York City–based writer, director, cinematographer, video editor, photographer, and multidisciplinary artist. In their personal practice, Golden explores shifting queer utopias and the social, spatial, and sensory architectures that shape how we connect.

Golden’s editing work has been presented in the U.S. and internationally. In 2026, Tamar Ettun’s IVF Documents was presented at the Venice Biennale in What’s in a Story?, curated by Barbara London for CYFEST. Echelon of Uncertainty, a film about a live-aboard boat community on Brooklyn’s Newtown Creek, screened at the Rockaway Film Festival and the Institute of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia, as part of a regional showcase for the 23rd Biennale of Sydney. Kehinde Wiley’s Peintre de l’Épopée, edited by Golden, was presented at the Centre d’art La Malmaison in France.

Across photography, filming, and editing, Golden has worked with artists including Miguel Gutierrez, Avram Finkelstein, Tamar Ettun, Kehinde Wiley, Duke Riley, Yo-Yo Ma, and Joey Soloway. Their photography has appeared in publications including New York Magazine, The Washington Post, Dazed, and The Times (London), and for organizations including The Shed, Times Square Arts, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York Live Arts, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Their photographs have also appeared at large scale across New York Live Arts and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and throughout Bushwick, Brooklyn, on billboards, bus shelters, and LinkNYC displays.

Golden writes and directs short films and music videos. Their short film Fasteners screened at the Emily Harvey Foundation as part of Abscissa #3, curated by Max Levin. They are currently writing their first narrative feature.
